One thing I’ll say is that Rome’s tourists attractions are all in walking distance if you’re will to do the hard yards. Our average kms on any day was 10 to 12kms but up to 16kms on some days. Food, wine and beers to get us through the days.
The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, now a church, in Rome, Italy, on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus. It was completed by the emperor Hadrian and completed about 126 AD.
A very neat temple created to praise all gods. First of all this building is huge but very pretty inside. I recommend seeing this building for the history behind it, which is very fascinating. The building has a hole in the middle with the story being, that no rain will come trough that hole at anytime, or so true as rain does come though the hole as the floor has a drainage system in it. It was created so the people were closer to the gods themselves.
