Dachau concentration camp was the first of the Nazi concentration camps opened in 1933, closed in 1945 and was intended to hold political prisoners. It is located on the grounds of an abandoned munitions factory northeast of the medieval town of Dachau, about 16 km northwest of Munich in the state of Bavaria, in southern Germany.

So moving isn’t it! When I went there, there was a man who sat out the front of the crematorium and he had actually been a prisoner there. He used to go there every day to share his story. Very sad!
