The foreshore of old town it is spectacular at night. KimmyV and I went out to tea after a brake in the afternoon back at the accommodation, just kicked back with few drinks and a movie. One of things I do like about Europe is late night dining, serving dinner right up to midnight at most restaurants.
At the Green Olive a very cool place with great food and vino of course, kimmyV enjoying the time, this one is for the girls back in Australia, cheers!
Ferry’s lined up ready for the departure to the hundreds of islands off the coast of Croatia.
Saint Domnius bell Tower is a medieval building that was built in the 13th century.
Unfortunately not every icon has information about its history, this door did but difficult to read. Im Sure over time with more restorations that information signs will be erected at the sites.
Residents live in the old town so amazing to see, everyone does their part to restore and preserve the buildings while tourists wonder the streets.
Been in Europe for 3 weeks now and we just had our first light shower of rain very lucky at this point been blessed with great weather. Enjoying every step with kimmyV the trip is a blast, with it still continuing our next stop is Hvar.
Cheers KimmyV! How gorgeous is Split? Looks like you’re nice and relaxed after the flight cancellation. I’m very excited to see Hvar as well as we he not been there.
Also just a thought, when in Dubrovnik, if you have the time, take a trip over to Cavtat, it’s a beautiful spot and a lot less busy. Only a short boat ride from Dubrovnik, well worth a look.
We need to book in a catch up for when you guys get back, want to hear more about your trip in person, we are both so glad you’re enjoying yourselves so much!
Hey Megs, yeah I had to step up and take control of it all, lol…. All worked out and lot more relaxing here atm, I’m sure it will stay that way.
It’s really quite not to many tourists I guessing Dubrovnik might be little busy tho. Weather not A1 and lots of renovations to here getting ready for summer.
Ken Oath we will catchup with you guys.
Thanks for the blog support.
